Hotel Policies & FAQS

Reservation Policy

Reservations are required. If booking via a travel website or any manner other than directly with Stonehurst Place (either via our website or by telephone), a non-refundable $100 deposit is required. Rates are based on single or double occupancy and vary without notice throughout the year. For reservations please contact us.

Check-In

Check-in time is at 4:00 pm.

Early check-in may be available upon request. There is a $25 fee per each hour you plan to arrive in advance. Example: Check-in at 2:00 pm will be a $50 additional fee.

Check-Out

Check-out time is at 11:00 am.

Late check-out may be available upon request. There is a $25 fee per each hour past 11:00 am. Example: Departure at noon will be a $50 additional fee.


Cancellation Policy

Early departures and all discounted bookings are non-refundable and will not be reimbursed. These two cancellation periods are applicable only to bookings made at regular (rack) rates. We advise guests to secure trip cancellation insurance to protect against potential unanticipated circumstances and peace of mind. International Lodging Protector is provided by Allianz Global Assistance and is available during our online booking process or via the link in your confirmation email. This service is available to US residents only.

3 Nights or Less

Bookings (3 nights or less) made at our regular (rack) rates may be modified or cancelled with no additional fee more than 72 hours prior to 4pm on the date of check-in; if you cancel or shorten your stay with less than seventy-two hours notice you will be responsible for the cost of your entire reservation.

4 Nights or More

Bookings (4 nights or more) made at our regular (rack) rates may be modified or cancelled with no additional fee more than 10 days prior to the date of check-in. If you cancel or shorten your stay with less than 10 days notice, you will be responsible for the cost of your entire reservation.

Additional FAQS

Do You Allow Pets?

While we cannot accommodate pets, we do have a wonderful place where furry friends can be pampered while you are pampered here at Stonehurst Place! Bark at the Ark is just 1 mile away from Stonehurst Place. You will need to contact them directly to make your pet reservation (this applies to pets other than Service Animals). For guests that must be accompanied by a Service Animal, we offer accommodation in the suite and rooms on the first floor of the main house. These are the Hinman Suite, The Farnsworth and The Piedmont rooms. We limit pet occupancy options in order that we may offer guests with severe allergy problems accommodation that has not been occupied by a Service Animal.

What Is Your Smoking Policy?

No smoking inside the inn is allowed, however smoking is allowed outside on our porches and in the gardens.

Do You Have a Damage Policy?

Guest will be responsible for any damages caused by negligence or misconduct and will be charged for costs to repair Stonehurst Place to its original condition. This includes smoke remediation in the event smoking has occurred inside the inn.

Can You Watch My Luggage?

Arriving before check-in or have some time to kill after your check-out? Luggage storage can be arranged. The Innkeepers will hold them for you until you're ready.

Do You Allow Children?

We are a place of respite for guests and do not accommodate children under 16 years of age.
