Bed & Breakfast establishments can be either remarkable positive or negative experiences. Stonehurst Place is simply among the “nec plus ultra” B&B I have ever been to. It starts with the location not far away from downtown Atlanta but in a residential área that starts to give you the sensation of being at home, which for a professional airline passenger like myself it represents na oásis in the desert of big chain hotelS. Na historical building was bought by na interior designer who renovated it with na impeccable taste and attention to details. The common rooms (music room, living room, an upstairs Reading room and the dining room where breakfast is served in a table shared by up to 10 guests) are full of details of excellent taste. My wife and I had The Farnsworth, one of the six rooms available each one with its unique decor, comfort and ammenities. In the common rooms you shall find complimentary softdrinks, wine for the evening, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, fruits, a tart, cookies, brownies, etc. Books and dvd are available for the guests. Service is impeccable. I regret that I made plans for continuing my trip to Stone Mountain and Asheville. Had I knew how good they were I would have it a base for this short 6 days holidays. Lots of restaurants at a walking distance, Marta station three blocks away, free internet at the premises and a personalized service all the time in na ambiance of reffinement.
This is my farewell review since I shall never again write for TripAdvisor. I like to be well treated as I have been at the Stonehurst Place. If you think that what I write is ueful you can find me in Facebook and I shall be glad to share travel tips. Farewell to you all
