When visiting the States we occasionally opt for a quality B & B rather than a hotel and we decided on Stonehurst Place for our four nights in Atlanta. It was the right choice. Innkeepers Lori and Paul made us welcome throughout our stay in this delightful house situated in the attractive Midtown district. We stayed in the Piedmont room which is the smallest of the six available but was perfectly adequate for the two of us. Our room, like the rest of the house, displays a remarkable design concept which we very much admired. There are also areas in the house such as the music room where you can relax and enjoy a complimentary glass of wine, tea, coffee etc. Lori’s breakfasts, cakes and cookies are top notch. The location we found to be particularly good for us as we did not have a car but the Marta Midtown station is a short walk away as is the lovely Piedmont Park, the High Museum and Margaret Mitchell House. Several fine restaurants and bars are also within walking distance. We would warmly recommend Stonehurst Place as the place to stay in Atlanta.
