Stonehurst is a breath of fresh air in a city full of corporate, anonymous hotels in Midtown, and is suitable for business travelers. The innkeepers, Gary and Caroline, are warm and friendly, but also respectful of your privacy and need to work. They will fix you breakfast to go, prepare the meal to your dietary needs and desires, and provide lots of delicious snacks and treats around the house. I stayed in the Peidmont Room, which sits on the front of the house, first floor. It was pretty quiet, although I could hear the guests across the hall from me early in the morning when they came out of their room and went to the dining room . Otherwise, the room was big with high ceilings, and was equipped with all the hi-tech needs of a business person: fast wireless, ipod docking station, TV and DVD player… as well as comfy robes, a cozy bed, and your own controls for the thermostat. If you are visiting for leisure, this B&B would hit the mark easily. You can walk to many of Atlanta’s best offerings: Peidmont Park, Atlanta Botanical Garden, and great restaurants. And with a Marta station about 10 minutes away, other tourist attractions are within reach. All in all, I would recommend Stonehurst, and I will return for another stay!
