“An Engagement To Remember…”

I had planned on asking my girlfriend to marry me for a while. After looking at a LOT of B&Bs and other places in Atlanta, I decided on Stonehurst Place.
I made the right decision.
Once we got to the inn, I was immediately greeted by Rebecca (who was on innkeeper duty at the time) and shown around the house (luckily for us, no one else was checked in at the time so we got to see all of the rooms). We were offered cake and beverages, shown the amenities, and finally led to our room (The Gables). We looked around at the beautiful leaded glass windows in the sitting room and collapsed on the bed… which was DEFINITELY one of the most comfortable beds that I have ever been on. I didn’t want to leave it! The shower was also really cool (I’ve never been in a three-headed shower before) and the whole place was quiet and above all relaxing. After I popped the question (in front of the big window in the sitting room of our suite) we slept well.
Breakfast the next day was great, too… the perfect amount of food. A delicious quiche, parfait, biscuit,, and bit of sausage served with coffee and juice. All in all, I can’t wait to go back! This was one of the best lodging experiences I’ve had in my life!
